EFT Tapping for Emotional Eating
Begin tapping on the Karate Chop point. Karate Chop:
- Tap on the karate chop point while repeating the setup statement three times.
- Tap on each of the following points while saying the reminder phrases:
- Setup phrase: Even though I struggle with emotional eating and turn to food when I feel stressed or overwhelmed, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.
- Eyebrow: I feel so overwhelmed
- Side of Eye: Food is the only thing that makes me feel better
- Under Eye: But then I feel guilty for giving in
- Under Nose: I want to break this cycle of emotional eating
- Chin: I want to find healthier ways to cope with my emotions
- Collarbone: I choose to release the hold that food has on me
- Under Arm: I am capable of finding peace and comfort within myself
- Top of Head: I am in control of my choices and my emotions
- I struggle with emotional eating
- I turn to food when I feel stressed or overwhelmed
- I feel guilty for giving in to emotional eating
- I want to break this cycle of emotional eating
- I want to find healthier ways to cope with my emotions
- I feel out of control when it comes to food
- I use food to fill the void or numb my feelings
- I feel ashamed of my eating habits
- I feel like a failure when I can’t control my eating
- I feel like I have no willpower
- I feel like I’m addicted to food
- I feel like food is my only source of comfort
- I feel like I’m constantly thinking about food
- I feel like I’m always hungry
- I feel like I have to eat in order to feel good
- I feel like I’m never satisfied with what I eat
- I feel like I’m always craving something sweet or salty
- I feel like I have no control over my cravings
- I feel like I don’t deserve to be healthy

- I feel like food is the only thing that makes me feel better
- I feel like I’m stuck in this cycle of emotional eating
- I feel like there’s no way out of this cycle
- I feel like I’m never going to be able to control my eating
- I feel like I’m always going to struggle with emotional eating
- I feel like I’m never going to be able to lose weight
- I feel like I’m never going to be able to get healthy
- I feel like I’m always going to be unhappy with my body

Take a deep breath and assess how you’re feeling. Repeat the sequence as many times as needed until you feel a sense of relief.
