Self suggestion is also known as self-hypnosis and is an 1 easy art form

I learned a long time ago that if you tell yourself something and believe it will happen, it then usually does. When I eventually learned about hypnosis and the power of the mind, I also discovered that if you auto-suggest something in a relaxed state, the ideas get embedded into the unconscious much quicker and much more powerfully than if just repeating an affirmation many times per day.

In a Silva method course which I studied 30 years ago, and have had the pleasure of repeating about 5 times since then, they talk about a formula type technique.

  1. Go into alpha
  2. Tell yourself when you want  (more energy, better sleep, more confidence etc..)
  3. When I do xyz….action I will then experience a new outcome.(more energy, better sleep, more confidence etc)
  4. You then count yourself up from 1 to 5 and give yourself instructions that when your eyes do open you will have and feel the outcome.

Since taking this course I have combined this technique with many others.  Learning how to use ideomotor responses allows me to ask and receive answers with ease and clarity and also to install the solutions even if I do not get a clear message.
